説明文:
In the early hours of July 20, 2026, a short post appeared on X: the Jacobian Conjecture is false. A problem nobody had solved in 87 years collapsed because of a single counterexample produced by an AI, and mathematicians around the world confirmed it within hours. But this is not a simple story about an AI beating humans. A human mathematician chose which problem to aim at, and human mathematicians confirmed that the answer was real. In this video we explain what the conjecture actually says using nothing but a rubber sheet — no equations — and then hand you two questions you can use the next time you see a headline saying an AI solved something: what part did the AI actually do, and how far has the answer been verified? In an age when candidate discoveries get cheap, the expensive thing is choosing which question is worth asking.
